37th Annual Free Spring Fishing Clinics for Kids
April 9, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
FreeBring the kids to this 37-year tradition of passing along fishing skills. Fishing club members from around Southeast Wisconsin step up year after year to share their love of fishing with area youth. All you have to do is show up!
Kids 15 and under will be given free fishing instruction on safety, knot tying, proper equipment, and techniques. Some clinic sites will also have fish cleaning and cooking demonstrations.
Clinics are being held at county parks in Milwaukee County, Washington County, and Waukesha County. You can learn more about which parks by going to https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/fishing/anglereducation/
Clinics will begin every hour starting at 9 a.m., with the last session starting at 2 p.m. Loaner fishing equipment is available but you are welcome to bring your own rod and reel, if you have one.
Anglers are also invited to bring a non-perishable food item to contribute to a food pantry collection at each of the clinic sites. Donations will be collected by Hunger Task Force and distributed throughout participating communities.
