2024 Thursday Night Open Bass Tournaments

Thursday Night Tournament Rules
• Teams will consist of one or two anglers.
A third angler is allowed only if under the age of 16.
• All Thursday Night Tournaments run from 6-9pm, $20 entry per boat. Optional Biggest Bass entry is $5/boat.
• Any tournament referenced as a “doubler” will be $40/boat entry fee and $10/boat for Biggest Bass.
• Entry is cash only, be aware there will be limited change available. Bring small bills whenever possible.
• Hours, Entry Fees, Location for end of the year Classic will be determined annually.
• Each competitor must pay into a minimum of 4 Thursday Night events to qualify for Classic.
• Random live well checks will be conducted.
• Competitors are expected to follow the highest standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety, and conservation. Any infraction of these fundamental sportsmanship may be deemed cause for disqualification. Any act of a competitor which reflects unfavorably upon the effort to promote fisheries conservation, clean water, and courtesy shall be reason for disqualification.
• ALL lake rules including wake/no wake and speed limit MUST be followed. (See postings at launch site for clarification).
• Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times. All competitors must wear a COAST GUARD APPROVED LIFE PRESERVER anytime the combustion engine is operating.
• Every boat must have all appropriate Coast Guard required safety equipment. In addition, it MUST have a functioning live well, properly aerated to adequately maintain a live catch of bass by the anglers using the boat.
• Only artificial baits are allowed, NO LIVE BAIT.
• Fishing on tournament waters is permitted anywhere that is accessible to all tournament contestants, EXCEPT within 50 yards of another competitor’s boat which is anchored (Anchored/Power Poled down & trolling motor up). No boat shall permit only selected anglers to fish within that 50 yard circled claimed when anchored. Error on the side of courtesy.
• No location may be “held” for a competitor
• If you are unsure of the location for check-in, times, and rules, it is your responsibility to ASK and CONFIRM with event coordinator. OTHERWISE: LATE IS LATE NO EXCUSES. Any boat arriving at the check-in site that is deemed LATE by the organizers of the event will be disqualified.
• After proper recognition at the check-in site, competitors will be given ample time to proceed to the weigh-in site.
• There will be a four fish limit for either a one or two angler team. Only largemouth and smallmouth bass at least 14” in length will be accepted. A courtesy measuring board will be provided.
• If a “short” fish is submitted, your team will be disqualified. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
• Any issued ticket by DNR or law enforcement is an automatic disqualification.
• All fish must be alive when submitted for weight. All judgements of “dead” shall be made solely by the tournament organizers. If “dead”, fish will not be counted towards that team’s catch. No replacement for such fish will be accepted.
Determination of Winning Teams
• Thursday Night Tournaments: The winning teams will be determined by the total weight of 4 fish bag.
• Thursday Night Classic (EOY tournament): The winning teams will be determined by the total weight of 5 fish bag.
• In the event of a tie, winnings are split between teams.
